Over 40 years serving the wider Brisbane community
Creative and performing arts concerts including the “Pink Twins Play”, Grease Ball, SWARA’s got talent, Rocky Horror SWARA Show, Back to the 80s, The Veronicas’ first performances were at SWARA, and SWARA goes Latin amongst many others.
Our 40th year celebrations lasted a full week, starting with Monday-Truth: our Aboriginal country and Moyia’s art sale, Tuesday-Right action: NDIS, abilities in everyone, Wednesday-Peace: through Creativity and Dorothy, the human values play , Thursday-Non-violence: volunteers celebrated and Friday was the day of Love integrating all five values into ‘shaping SWARA’s future’.
SWARA Songbirds choir performed in aged care facilities.
SWARA’s Edward street stall is still popular and still selling our produce.
Service to our families and our community with some clients still adoring SWARA after 30+ years.
Acceptance of change with individuals happily adapting to the NDIS Act 2013.
