Choosing the right supports for your child is an important decision, and we understand the trust it takes to hand that care over to someone else. Our school programs are designed to help students learn new skills, develop independence, and enjoy connecting with their peers in a safe and welcoming environment.

School Holiday Program

Our School Holiday Program focuses on capacity building, social connection and community participation. Held at our Woolloongabba centre, students are supported by experienced SWARA staff as they take part in Day Program which includes hands-on activities that encourage growth, creativity, and friendship.

School Transition Program

School Transition Program

The move from school to adult life is a big step, and we’re here to make it a positive one. Our School Transition Program helps students and families prepare for the change by developing an individual transition plan that includes:

  • Tailored supports and activity recommendations
  • Guidance on NDIS funding and quotes
  • Introductions to relevant SWARA programs and staff

The program runs Monday to Thursday during school terms and offers a balance of independence, social connection and learning through hands-on activities like art, cooking, and recreation.

School Transition Open Days 

School Transition Open Days 

Experience the swara programs first-hand through a free two-hour session at our Woolloongabba centre. During the visit, students and their school representatives can participate in one of our regular activities, such as pottery, baking, or creative arts, under the guidance of a swara senior support worker.

The aim is to help young people feel comfortable, safe and confident in the space, while giving school staff and families a sense of how swara can support future transitions.

Where: swara Day Program Centre, 101 Park Rd, Woolloongabba

When: Monday to Thursday during school terms

Duration: Up to 2 hours (free of charge)

Bookings: Limited places available for schools each term. Please contact us early to secure your preferred day.
